Who it suits

Intermediate and above, in waves with a real face. Around 0.32 to 0.55 litres per kilogram of body weight.

What to check on a used one

• Press the deck under both feet: thin performance boards dent and delaminate there first.
• Sight down the rails for a buckle. A shortboard that has been through a reef takes a crease before it snaps.
• Check the volume is printed on the stringer. On a shortboard a two-litre error changes the whole board.
