Buying a used soft top
Who it suits
Beginners, and anyone surfing crowded beach breaks. Around 0.9 to 1.0 litres per kilogram of body weight.
What to check on a used one
- Peel back a corner of the deck skin at the rails, which is where it lifts first.
- Check the fins are still there and are the ones it shipped with.
- Sun destroys soft tops. A chalky, faded deck means a short remaining life.
