Used funboards in Bali
A funboard is wide, thick and forgiving, with enough length to catch waves early and enough shape to turn once you are up. It is the honest next step after a soft top and it holds its value in Bali because there is always another traveller learning.

Buying a used funboard
Who it suits
Beginners and improvers, in small to medium waves. Around 0.6 to 1.0 litres per kilogram of body weight.
What to check on a used one
- These boards get dropped and stood on. Check the nose and the deck under the chest.
- A rental fleet board will have many small repairs. Tidy ones are fine; count them.
- Check the leash plug. Beginner boards pull them hard.
